Shredder bags catch the sliced and diced paper after it goes through the shredder. It helps control what could be a messy situation! Manufacturers generally provide on limited number of bags with a new shredder purchase. The bags fit over a rectangular frame and slide into a slot on many paper shredders.
To reorder these bags is a very expensive proposition. While they are a thicker plastic in most cases, they do end up in the trash. Is this how you want to spend your money? While not a huge cost saving, but still a cost savings…we recommend regular trash bags! Really, you say…Why, yes we say.
Here is a bag recommendation for smaller shredders. Keep the drawstrings tucked inside the bag so if you put the unit in reverse it doesn’t pull them up into the unit causing a big problem.
For larger shredders, same rules about the drawstrings apply! We recommend this.
If you are looking to be more environmentally conscious, here is another recommendation.
We chose higher quantities because it is always annoying to run out!
